Wrangler is a manufacturer of jeans. The brand is owned by the VF Corporation, who also own Lee, JanSport and The North Face, among others. Its headquarters are located in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina, with production plants in a variety of locations throughout the world. Wrangler International is now chaired by Dieter Jacobfeuerborn. Wrangler Jeans were first made by Blue Bell, who acquired the brand when they took over Casey Jones in the mid-1940s. Blue Bell employed Bernard Lichtenstein (`Rodeo Ben`), a Polish tailor from ???who worked closely with cowboys, to help design jeans suitable for rodeo use. This was the origin of Wrangler Jeans. The 13MWZ style, introduced in 1947, is still available worldwide. In addition to this, Wrangler has since introduced several other lines that are more designated towards a specific group or demographic. Some examples of this are 20X, Riggs and Aura. Prps is a New York-based luxury fresh denim brand which was established in 2003, and was founded by former Nike designer, Donwan Harrell. The brand motto is Bruised, never broken. Prps jeans are manufactured in Japan. The denim used for the manufacture of the jeans, is organically grown in Africa. The Japanese manufacturer of the jeans uses looms from the 1960s similar to the type that were used to produce denim for Levi`s. Modern looms are more efficient in the amount of material used, however, the older, classic looms produce a stronger edge to the fabric, which result in increased prices in denim when older looms are used. The leather jackets that are produced by PRPS are produced in Italy. Harrell says that the manufacturing process was inspired by denim worn by workers before it became popular as an everyday fashion . The designer launched a women`s range in the US in September 2008 and will be launching in Europe and Asia in January 2009. Some of the distinguishing features of Prps jeans include a folded back pocket, the purple tab on the back pocket, different colored buttons on the fly, and purple line selvage.

Railcar Fine Goods is a privately owned business located in Monrovia, California. The beginning-to-end production of our garments and accessories is a manually developed process and all garments built(tm) in our workshop are fabricated by a small staff. It begins with quality chosen fabrics that are each cut using our original designed patterns. Railcar goods are crafted using older traditional manual and rare vintage sewing equipment including black Union Special and Singer machines. Nothing is automated in the Railcar workshop. Every item is made by a highly skilled artisan rendering making each piece an instant collectible garment.
Railcar Fine Goods was created by Steven Dang. Working for the Los Angeles Metro, fixing and repairing passenger trains, he wanted to do something more creative that he had a great interest for. Building clothes. Taking his attention to detail in the mechanical and electrical world and transferring them to building high quality garments. Hence, the Railcar Fine Goods. Steven doesn’t say he makes clothes. His way of thinking is garments are supposed to be built. Every stitch has a function, every angle has a function and with function comes beauty.
The goal isn’t to cut prices and use buzz words like “Handmade” or “Handcrafted In Downtown LA” and expect people to think its superior. Our goal is to make the finest crafted goods that you can be proud of. Making them on historic machines, paying attentin to details that we actually perform, using great fabrics from all over the world and to construct them with the highest quality will make Railcar a true collectors piece.
